Friday, on 20th January Latvian rally season and its first competition - ASRT rally ,,Alūksne 2012" will be opened with ceremonial start at the centre of Alūksnes city.

It's less than a week left till the first Baltic rally race this year - ASRT rally "Alūksne 2012"
ASRT rally "Alūksne 2012", candidates rally for getting a place in next year's Latvian rally championship calendar, will start on 20th January and will continue on 21st January with special stages in Alūksne's county, Alsviķu, Jaunalūksnes, Malienas, Mārkalnes and Ziemeru parishes.

Rally ,,ASRT Alūksne 2012" will happen as planed
Rally ,,ASRT Alūksne 2012" will happen as planed- at 20th and 21st January in Alūksne and surrounding roads. The race will be the first stage of Latvian rallysprint championship and candidate rally, claiming to position in Latvian rally championship calendar for coming years. Organizers suggest drivers to apply actively, because there won't be a chance to cancel the rally. Weather conditions have become appropriate for rally needs.

Alūksne is waiting for snow and is preparing for rally
... They say that the upper stile of Opekalna church at Alūksne is flush with the St. Peter's church rooster. Because of the hilly relief, Alūksne is the highest set town in Latvia - it stands about 200 metres above sea level. Roads seems pictured by someone who's a rally driver, because it's hard to find so many wily bends, hills and hillocks at any other place of Latvia.
