Breen/Martin victorious in Rally Liepāja despite difficult conditions
Rally Liepāja, the second event in the 2015 FIA European Rally Championship calendar, proved to be a tough rally, with the continuously changing weather conditions catching out even the most experienced drivers. Peugeot Rally Academy crew Craig Breen / Scott Martin adapted best to the local roads and came away with a win.

Craig Breen leads rally Liepāja after leg one
The first five Special Stages of Rally Liepāja took place today, with Craig Breen and Scott Martin (Peugeot 208 T16) currently in first place with a healthy 1 minute and 23 second gap to Siim Plangi and Marek Sarapuu (Mitsubishi Evo X). Lithuanian crew of Dominykas Butvilas and Kamil Heller (Subaru Impreza STI) are currently in third, 4 minutes and 4 seconds off the lead.

„LMT Autosporta Akadēmija” Liepājā startēs ar četrām ekipāžām
Šajā nedēļas nogalē, 7. un 8. februārī, Liepājā un tās apkārtnē, norisināsies Latvijas rallija čempionāta 2. un 3. posms – „Rally Liepāja”. Tajā „LMT Autosporta Akadēmijas” rallija komandas pamatsastāvam – ekipāžām Emīls Blūms / Reinis Vilsons, Toms Lielkājis / Toms Pirktiņš, Mārtiņš Sesks / Māris Kulšs – pievienosies arī 2013.gada „OKartes Autosporta Akadēmijas Stipendijas Attīstībai” ieguvējs Jānis Krickis ar stūrmani Rolandu Laizānu.

ASRT kuplā sastāvā dodas uz Liepājas ERČ posmu
Šajās brīvdienās Liepājā startēs Eiropas rallija čempionāta (ERČ) otrais posms, kā arī 2. un 3. Latvijas rallija čempionāta (LRČ) posms. Pavisam kopā Liepājas ERČ posmam dalību apstiprinājusi 51 ekipāža, bet LRČ čempionātam pieteikušās 34 ekipāžas.

European Rally Championship leaders are ready to take on the challenge of Rally Liepāja
Rally Liepāja, the second event of the FIA European rally championship (ERC), has received applications from 51 crews in 20 countries. Among those, Poland is the most represented with 10 entries, followed by 8 entries from Latvia and 5 each from the Czech Republic and Russia. The rally will take place from February 6 to 8 on the roads of Liepāja and Kuldīga regions, and will also be the first event of the ERC Junior championship with 15 entrants. Two locally well-known crews – Gryazin/Lebedik and Sirmacis/Šimins – will begin to fight for the Junior title with the most talented young drivers of Europe in their Sports Racing Technologies prepared cars.

Europe’s fastest rally drivers getting ready for Rally Liepāja
The organisers of Rally Liepāja, the second event of the 2015 FIA European Rally Championship (ERC), have received official applications from 21 crew, including two from Peugeot Rally Academy, which will be represented by Craig Breen from Ireland and Diogu Gagu from Portugal. Lotos Rally Team driver Kajetan Kajetanowicz, who claimed a dominant victory in the first FIA ERC event of the year, will also start in Liepaja. Multiple notable local drivers will also be taking part, including the 2014 Latvian rally champion Jānis Vorobjovs. Registration for Rally Liepaja is open until January 22, while the race itself will take place on the roads near Liepaja and Kuldiga between February 6 and 8.

FIA European rally championship event Rally Liepāja to take place in February
For the third year in a row, Rally Liepāja will host the Latvian event of the FIA European rally championship (ERC), taking place on the roads of Kurzeme region on February 6-8, 2015. Rally Liepāja will also host two Latvian rally championship events. In a change from the previous years, special stages will take place not only on the challenging roads around Liepāja and Kuldīga, but there is also going to be a super special city stage held in Liepāja – something rarely seen in winter events!
