“This year, when we launched the Mārtiņš Sesks MRF Tyres Junior Challenge, we had planned to run a total of five competitions in Latvia. Taking into account the news about the cancellation of the rally “Cēsis”, which was planned as the fourth stage of this young driver program, we had to look for a solution to provide the young drivers with the opportunity to compete in another rally. We are aware that this will be a somewhat atypical competition for rally crews, but at this age, every kilometre covered and every unique experience is of special importance, which is why we decided to approve such a solution," said Raimonds Strokšs, head of the LAF Rally Commission.

"At the same time, many thanks to the organizers of this competition, Ingus Ķimelis and Uvis Veikšāns, for the work they have invested in adjusting the competition during these past days, so that we could not only accommodate the participants of the Mārtiņš Sesks MRF Tyres Junior Challenge, but also provide the young rally drivers with the opportunity to complete three full sections, which will increase the total distance covered in special stages to 39 km,” concludes Raimonds Strokšs.
