This year’s rally route includes roads that already tested the skills of WRC drivers in 2024, as well as completely new parts. Thrilling will be special stages in Liepāja city, on a mixed surface of gravel, concrete and tarmac.
The rally is planned in a compact format – administrative check, first part of recce and shakedown on Thursday, May 28. On Friday, May 29 – recce, scrutineering, opening ceremony and the first competitive kilometres of stages in and near Liepāja city.
On the second day, Saturday, May 30, crews will tackle classical ‘Rally Kurzeme’ stages – Tebra and Vecpils, both running twice, and finish the rally with two special stages in historical and industrial parts of the Liepāja city. On the liaison back to Liepāja, the caravan of rally cars will become a colourful part of the Grobiņa City Festival.
‘Rally Kurzeme 2026’ is the third round of the 2026 Latvian Rally Championship, Latvian Rallysprint and Historic Automobile Cup, and the first round of the ‘Mārtiņš Sesks MRF Tyres Junior Challenge’.
