For the crew of Vytautas Švedas/ Žilvinas Sakalauskas this will be the 6th start in Rally Talsi. The crew had to drop out from the debut rally due to technical reasons, however in the following years it managed to finish three 6th places and the 2nd place in 2011 when the crew not only climbed the pedestal of honor, but also won the prestigious Champions’ Challenge Cup. Vytautas Švedas/ Žilvinas Sakalauskas have successfully started also in the round of the FIA European Rally Championship held in Latvia, when in 2013 the crew won the Production Cup set-off.

Organisers of Rally Talsi has also received an application from the local Talsi crew Elviss Hermanis/ Gatis Veilands with Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII car. In 2013, the crew finished third in total valuation of the Latvian Rallysprint Championship in group 4WD Open and in 2014 has decided to step up and compete in the Latvian Rally Championship.

The team Dynamic Sport has entered for participation in the race four crews, and three of them — Haralds Šlēgelmilhs/ Artūrs Pumpurs, Alexander Mikhaylov/ Normunds Kokins and the Ukrainians Taras Kravchenko/ Yuriy Kuzminov – will start with the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X cars. While the remaining duet of Rolands Jaunzems/ Aleksandrs Innuss will start with the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII car.
