Haralds Šlēgelmilhs and Artūrs Pumpurs will start in Rally Talsi for the 2nd year in a row, and they will participate in the competition with Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X prepared by the team of Andis Neikšāns Dynamic Sport. „We have our own unsettled accounts with Rally Talsi, and this year we have resolved to reach the finish line,” begins the driver Haralds Šlēgelmilhs. „Last year we started with Škoda Fabia S2000 allowing to reach the maximum speed below 170km/h, however that was not the best choice for the fast stages of Rally Talsi. This year we will drive the N4 group car allowing to reach the speed above 200km/h, so that in the straight sections of stages we would not be forced to listen to the sound of speed control device,” tells Haralds Šlēgelmilhs.

With the participation in Rally Talsi the sportsmen will strive to actualize issues related with treatment of children and young people with oncologic diseases. On the sports car of the crew there will be labels with the logo of the Latvian Anti-cancer Movement for Children RH3 Fonds and its phone number for donations +371 90006387. All rally fans will be invited to participate and to donate to the Fund RH3 Fonds, established with the purpose to ensure for children and young people in the oncology wards healthy and well-balanced nutrition during treatment as well as rehabilitation and psychological support and coverage of other emergency costs. All donations received during Rally Talsi will be earmarked for rehabilitation procedures in the National Rehabilitation Centre Vaivari, where accommodation cost for one child is EUR 50.00 per day. In order to support the activities of RH3 Fonds one should not wait for Rally Talsi, as the donation number is already open and each call ensures the donation at the amount of EUR 1.42 to the Fund RH3 Fonds.

Just one week ago on 1st April, the crew visited the Oncology Unit in the Children’s Clinical University Hospital, where each day requires to gain one victory after another. “With our visit to tried to change the daily routine of children and give some joy between treatment procedures. Despite all difficulties lying currently upon these children, we were surprised by their remarkable optimism and joy of living. At the end of the day we organized a competition simulation that brought gladness and special emotions both for children and ourselves,” continues Haralds Šlēgelmilhs. “I am very glad that I can do what I like best and at the same time invite to donate and help to those most in need. Last year I felt great support from spectators, and if this year it is a great, I can surely say that together we can attain high goals.”

“Our task is to ensure that society pays greater attention to children and young people as they are our future. With our example we would like to invite to act immediately thus helping children and young people currently fighting fiercely with oncologic diseases. We would like to remind that Rally Talsi this year will be the 4th round of the Latvian Rally Championship (LRC) and will be held on 17th and 18th May. As announced before, also this year Rally Talsi will bear international significance as in addition to the LRC stage, Talsi will host also the rounds of the Lithuanian Auto Rally Championship (LARC), the Northern Europe Zone (NEZ) Rally Championship and the NEZ Junior Championship.
