“There is a break in the World RX calendar before the Canadian event, but this “vacation” must be used to keep improving. Rallying forces the driver to focus for very long periods of time and instantly react to unexpected situations. In addition, Rally Latvija will be a mixed surface event, with gravel stages and asphalt sections in Jūrmala and Biķernieki track,” comments Reinis Nitišs.

“Thanks to the support by Circle K, IF and Neiksans Rally Sport, I can again join forces with Māris Neikšāns in order to fully prepare for the rally and show consistent pace throughout the event.”

This will be the second time Nitišs competes in a rally, but, after competing in Rally Liepāja in 2015 in a front-wheel drive R2 class car, he is ready for a new challenge. In this mixed surface event, the Jēkabpils native will be driving a N4 class Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX all-wheel drive car, which will be prepared and serviced by Neiksans Rally Sport.

“Working with Reinis is very easy – he has a lot of experience at the wheel of a racing car, so we are mainly working on rally specific skills: creating and listening to pacenotes, as well as working on adjusting the driving style to rallying. Our main goal is to complete the full distance and improve the pace throughout the event, which will serve as great practice for the remaining rallycross season for Nitišs,” comments Neiksans Rally Sport manager Māris Neikšāns.
