On 15 March the so-called "forbidden territory" before the fourth stage of the Latvian Rally Championship – "BTA Rally Talsi" – enters into force. This means that starting from this day until the beginning of the rally on 14 May all rally participants (both pilots and steersmen) are not allowed within the territories of Spāre, Pastende, Stende, Strazde, Lauciene, Laidze and Talsi. If sportsmen are to settle other issues not related with the rally in these territories, they are kindly asked to inform the rally organizers.
The precise chart of the forbidden territory can be seen on the photo or in the section Documentation of the official home page. The organizers of "BTA Rally Talsi" are looking forward to the decency of sportsmen as it is very important to preserve the road sections in a good condition until the rally and not to disturb the local inhabitants.
Any sportsman infringing the prohibition to enter the forbidden territory will be penalized at the amount of 500 Ls (710 Euro) or even excluded from participation in the rally. Therefore we kindly ask inhabitants of the above territories noticing rally or training cars within the forbidden territory to inform the organizer of the rally Raimons Strokšs via e-mail raimonds@ramotosport.lv or by mobile phone +371 29247514. We will be grateful for the photo or video files with offenders!
Only by cooperating we can ensure that the local inhabitants are not disturbed prior to the competition and true sporting intrigue is preserved in the racetrack. We invite you to join our forces to ensure that the rally in the Talsi District is a festive event for everybody!
